Hi All -- I just want to ask has anybody noticed that the merchant (and possibly other NPC's) have stopped faction checking? I was on the kurzik side last nite after the update with more luxon faction then kurzik and spoke to the merchant to cleanup some inventory items. Instead of the usual grief from the merchant he openned the buy/sell window and let me take care of business.

Is this because I had my friend title track showing, or is this part of title track less grind/hassle upcoming updates?

did you check the boundary lines on the map? Even though it is a Kurzick city, Luxons may have held it allowing you to trade with the merchant

Good point Dark however I have had plenty of times when I was on the luxon side (ie Cavlon) with more kurzik faction and got the snide answer from the NPC. Also I have been on the kurzik side (ie the armory) when it was under luxon control and I had more kurzik faction and the NPC's will not talk to me either.

Thats why I am asking if anybody else has seen this too, and could it be part of the less grind updates which are coming? It would certainly make some things less of a PITA.

i'm assuming there's a typo here... otherwise... pretty self explanatory.
anyways it may be an occasional bug, i usually just hit the guildhall if i'm in factions though: guildhall is all nice and right together, whereas some towns you have to run all over to get to different npc's

maybe the town you were in was owned by the other faction.

if not who knows maybe you just got lucky
